DIY TUTU

Hello and happy (close to) Halloween! Halloween is one of my favorite holidays, and making things is part of the fun. This year I'm dressing up as a unicorn. This is a super simple + easy DIY, and the result looks so fun!

Materials
  • Tule (I upcycled old tulle curtains, but I'd recommend between 8-10 yards, depending on how fluffy you want it.)
  • Sharp or fabric scissors
  • Elastic
  • Needle + thread
Cut to desired length, and then cut on both sides, but leave the fold on top.

Cut into multiple strips, approximately 4-6 inches wide each, but don't worry about being perfect, because tutus are supposed to look fluffy and messy.
Measure your waist and sew together both ends of elastic.
Make slip knots with bundles of 3-5 strips of tulle. Squish them together and continue until elastic is completely covered in tulle.

My shirt says, "Humans are fictional". I really couldn't help myself!  (Please radiate my unicorn vibes :)
xx,
Sonia
